Unlike many wesite design companies we don't promise to have you up and running in 48 hours with some generic website. We work with you, finding out what you need and provide you with prototype websites until you are satisfied.
We follow six steps to a successful website which is shown below.
Finding a Domain Name
This is often the hardest part of the whole process. You come up with the perfect domain name, only to find it is already taken. Have a few domain names in mind and use our domain checker to see if they are available.
To check and order your domain name you can access our Domain Checker and Domain Ordering Page.
As soon as we get your details we will register the name for you, so that no one else can take it.
Transferring a Domain Name
If you already have the perfect domain name but it is hosted elsewhere you can transfer it to us. You will however need to contact your existing host to get a an EPP number (a bit like a PAC code) Further details are available from our Transfer Domain Page
We will invoice you when once registration is complete. As soon as payment is recieved we can move on to Step 2.
Hosting Your Site
Before we can build your website, we need somewhere to put it. We recommend hosting on our servers so we can fully support your website and services we offer.
Visit our Hosting Plan Page Here to select the most appropriate plan for you. We will happily offer you advice on this, so please do not hesitate to contact us.
Don't forget to look through the hosting optional extras to see if there is anything else you need to add to your site.
Payment for hosting plans is monthly by Direct Debit. Once your plan has been set up you will recieve a direct debit mandate to agree.
The first payment will be taken within 7 days, then monthly thereafter.
Our managment plans offer you support and peace of mind. They also allow you to have a set number of content and administrative update for your site per month.
Of course you are free not to take up one of these plans, however out of plan updates can work out more expensive in the long run.
Go to our Website Managment Page to see the packages we have on offer.
This will be added to the monthly Direct Debit on your hosting package, and highlighted separately on the invoice.
Website Design and Build
Firstly you will need to go to our Website Design Options Page and choose the most suitable package for your organisation. From here you will be able to order your site package.
When we recieve your order we will contact you to find out about your organisation so we can get started straight away. Do you have a specific colour scheme and branding scheme you want to follow? Do you have a logo, or do you want one designed? We will also ask you about type of information you want to convey in your site.
If you like we can also arrange a meeting to discuss your specific requirements. This can be done, face-to-face or over the phone.
We will then start to build your site sending you regular updates as it progresses, so you can make changes on the fly.
Sometimes if you want additional applications adding to your site, we will get the basic site up and running first, then add the applications after.
We don't take any payment for the site until it is offcially launched, when you will recieve an invoice for our work.
When the structure of the site is complete we will liase with you over content on the site. We ask you to provide the content, unless you specifically ask us to write it using our team of copy writers.
We will also make sure that all the pages are SEO friendly and that your site is fully compliant and visited by search engines.
Please Note: SEO work is only completed if you added it as a hosting option.
This is provided as part of the Web Design Service, unless you ask us to write content for you.
The site is fully proof read by our team of proof readers and then tested to make sure everything works correctly. We will then send you the final draft to approve.
Once this is done, you go LIVE!
We will then be able to support your site, either as part of one of our management plans or for individual changes as and when you need them.
